Cedar Crest Nursing Centre Celebrates 50 Years of Quality Care

Cranston, RI – January 11, 2020 – It was a roaring great time at the swanky 50th Anniversary Celebration for Cedar Crest Nursing Centre held this January at Alpine Country Club. Embracing the boisterous prosperity associated with the 1920s, hundreds of guests vamped it up dressed as glamorous flappers and dapper dans. From boas and bobs for the ladies to caps and fedoras for the guys, everyone felt the party was the “cat’s pajamas!”

Honorable Mayor Allan Fung presented Susan Whipple, Cedar Crest’s CEO, with a citation making January 11th “Cedar Crest Day” in Cranston for perpetuity.

Joanna Longtin, Cedar Crest’s receptionist and greeter for that evening’s event, thought the whole experience was “the bee’s knees”. “It was an incredible night! There was so much love and joy in the room. It felt like more than just an ordinary party – it was a real celebration.” The Cedars, with Cedar Crest Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre and Cedar Home Health, provides long– and short-stay care and offers skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, complex medical care, Alzheimer’s/dementia care and home health care.
