RI Rocks 4 Haiti 2

Local Rhode Island musicians will band together again for the second RI Rocks 4 Haiti benefit concert. In response to the devastating earthquakes that occurred in Haiti 5 years ago, some of the most popular musicians in Rhode Island gathered together to donate their time and talent to hold an emergency benefit. In March 2010, nearly $90,000 was raised during the concert where 900 people danced the afternoon away. The money raised was used to benefit The Providence Haiti Outreach, a Rhode Island based 30-year-old organization dedicated to helping the children of Haiti.

Five years later, and Haiti still remains shattered by poverty and the aftershock of earthquakes. So we ask you to join us once again on Sunday, March 1st to rock the afternoon away with our headliner WORLD PREMIER BAND as well as a lineup of some of Rhode Island’s best bands to benefit some of the world’s most needy children. In the past 5 years, the Providence Haiti Outreach has installed several water purification systems, from a small pump that just helped the school to later building a large cistern system which provides clean water to the entire community. Each year we continue to feed, clothe, and educate hundreds of children in hopes of bettering their lives. Let’s rock and continue to benefit Haiti!
